Home Window Tint Cost in Tucson

What does it cost to tint a house in Tucson? Most homes start around $14 a square foot installed. For that, the room you avoid every afternoon becomes the room everyone sits in. Your floors keep their color. And the work is backed by our lifetime warranty.

Your exact price comes down to the film you pick and the windows you have. We'll come out, measure every window, put real samples on your own glass and give you a clear quote on the spot. No guessing, no pressure. Businesses start at the same $14 a square foot.

What Moves the Price, So Your Quote Has No Surprises

Installer on a tall ladder prepping high clerestory windows in a two-story great room

We price by the square foot of glass, installed. From that $14 starting point, six things move your number. Here they are, straight.

  • The film you choose. This one matters most. A clear film that keeps the view, a warm bronze tone, a reflective film for daytime privacy and a one-way mirror for the hottest walls are all different products. You pick the look for the whole house, and we match one film to it. That one choice sets your price more than anything else.
  • Your glass. Most Tucson homes have dual-pane windows, and many have a Low-E coating. Film goes on both, but not every film suits every window. We check the glass on every window at the estimate. We only use films that are a safe match for your glass. On some homes that narrows the choice, and we'll tell you up front.
  • Window size and shape. Big picture windows, tall sliders, arched tops and small divided panes all take different amounts of film and time. We measure every window. Your quote covers the glass you actually have, not a guess from a photo.
  • Height and access. Clerestory windows, skylights and the top row of a two-story great room take ladders, extra setup and more care. So do windows behind a hot tub, above a staircase or over built-in furniture. We have the equipment and the experience to reach them, and it's all in your quote.
  • How many windows. Tint as many windows as you want, from a single west wall to every window in the house. More glass means a bigger total. Your quote covers exactly the windows you choose.
  • Old film removal. A previous owner's film that's bubbling, peeling or turning purple has to come off first. Removal is slow, careful work and is priced separately, usually around $4 a square foot. We'll point it out at the estimate, so it's in your quote from the start.

Want your real number? We'll measure and quote it free, on the spot.

Everything That Comes With Your Price

The price we quote is the whole job, not a starting bid. Here's what you get for it.

  • A free in-home estimate. We come to your home any day of the week and walk the house with you. You tell us which rooms bother you and what look you want.
  • Real samples on your own glass. You see the film in your own light, from inside and from the street, before you spend a dollar. This is where most people relax. You'll see for yourself how light the right film can be.
  • Every window measured. No rough guesses. We measure, check the glass and give you a clear quote on the spot. Like it? Pick your install date right there.
  • Installers you'll be comfortable having in your home. Every installer is background-checked and professional. Each one has at least five years of hands-on window film experience. No trainees learning on your windows. The crew lays down drop cloths, moves furniture and blinds with care, and cleans and preps every window before the film goes on.
  • Cleanup and a walkthrough. When we're done, we put things back, clean up after ourselves and walk you through the finished work. Most jobs are completed in a day or less.
  • A lifetime warranty on materials and labor. Home installs of our window film are covered for life against bubbling, peeling, fading and discoloring. If something isn't right, we come back and make it right. The warranty is part of your price, not an add-on.

Anti-graffiti and turf protection films don't carry a warranty. Anti-graffiti film is made to take the scratches and tags so your glass doesn't have to, and it's replaced once it has done its job.

Is Home Window Tint Worth It in Tucson?

For most Tucson homes, yes. You're not buying film. You're buying rooms that work, furnishings that keep their color and a house that looks finished from the street.

  • Your A/C finally gets a break. When less heat comes through the glass, your A/C stops fighting the windows all afternoon. You'll notice it most in the long summer stretches when the system never seems to shut off.
  • Floors, furniture and art that keep their color. Desert sun bleaches hardwood, rugs, cabinets, couches and the shutters you paid good money for. Our solar films block up to 99% of UV, the main cause of fading. Replacing a faded rug or refinishing a floor costs real money. Film protects them for as long as it's on the glass.
  • The rooms you gave up on, back in the rotation. The west-facing great room everyone avoids late in the day. The Arizona room that's only comfortable in winter. The TV you can't see at noon. Film stops the heat and glare at the glass, and those rooms work again. You'll feel it the first afternoon.
  • One clean look from the street. One film on every window gives the house a clean, even look, day and night. Buyers notice details like that. So do the neighbors, and they tend to ask who did yours.

Why the Cheapest Quote Can Cost You Twice

A low price per foot can turn into the most expensive option. Film that fails has to be stripped off and replaced. That's paying twice for the same windows.

Here's what usually goes wrong with bargain film and bargain installs:

  • Bubbling and peeling within a few summers, starting at the edges and corners.
  • Purple or discolored film that makes the whole house look tired from the street.
  • A short warranty, or none at all, and often nothing on the labor.
  • Installers who mostly do cars and fit houses in between vehicles. Big dual-pane windows, tall sliders and high glass are a different job from a car door.

Here's what you get with us instead. We install SunTek window film, and we stand behind every home install ourselves with a lifetime warranty on materials and labor. Tucson Home Window Tint does homes and businesses only. Every crew and every day on our calendar is for houses and buildings. We've tinted thousands of Tucson homes since 2020, so there's a good chance we've already done a house on your street.

Comparing quotes? Ask every installer the same four questions. What film brand will you install? Does the warranty cover labor, and for how long? Who will actually be in my home? Do you check my glass before recommending a film? Good answers to all four are worth more than a lower number. We'll answer all four at your kitchen table.

Window Tint vs Solar Screens and New Windows

For heat, glare and fading, film is usually the simplest fix. It works on the windows you already have, keeps the view and goes on in a day or less for most jobs.

Our take: if your windows are in good shape and the problem is heat, glare or fading, start with film. If the windows themselves are worn out, replacement may be the bigger fix. We don't sell screens or windows, so we'll tell you plainly which one makes sense for your home.

Scissor lift inside a commercial building with tall windows being tinted

Commercial Window Tint Cost in Tucson

Most commercial projects start around $14 a square foot installed. The same things move the price as at home, plus a few that come with buildings.

  • The amount of glass. Storefronts, curtain walls and office floors can mean a lot of square footage. We measure every window, so your quote matches the building.
  • Height and access. Second-story glass, tall storefronts and high clerestories may need a lift and more setup time.
  • Glass type and film. We check the glass on every window and only use films that are a safe match for it. Solar, privacy, decorative and security films are different products, and the one you choose shapes the price.
  • Working around your hours. We plan installs around how your business runs, including after close. After-hours work is built into the price we quote. No surprises later.

Commercial installs of our window film carry a 10-year warranty. That covers every film we install except anti-graffiti and turf protection film. We'll walk the property, measure every window and give you a clear quote.

Ways to Save, Without Cutting Corners

  • Military and first responder discount. We take 10% off for military and first responders. It applies to every customer, home and commercial. Just mention it at the estimate.
  • Do the whole house at once. The price per square foot is the same either way, but the whole house is where the value is. Every window blocks heat, so you get the most comfort and the biggest cooling savings over the years. Plus one film, one visit and one finished look from the street.
  • Buy it once. The cheapest film is the one you never have to replace. With a lifetime warranty on materials and labor, the price you pay today is the price you pay for the life of the film on your home.

Here's what we'd do: start with the rooms that bother you most, or do the whole house and be done. Either way, the estimate is free.
