Anti-Graffiti Window Film in Tucson

Tired of a scratched tag being the first thing your customers see? We'd put clear anti-graffiti film on your street-facing glass. The next scratch lands in the film, not the glass. We replace that panel, and your storefront looks clean again. No glass order, no boarded-up pane.

From the sidewalk, it looks like glass. We'll walk the building, show you where we'd start and give you a clear quote on the spot. And we can install after you close.

The Film Takes the Hit, So Your Glass Doesn't

The same counter row with frosted film on the glass guards

Anti-graffiti film is a sacrificial film, and that's the whole idea. It goes on the glass surface people can reach, usually the outside of a storefront. It's clear and lets 89% of visible light through. Your windows, displays and signage look the same as they do now.

When someone scratches, etches or tags the window, the damage lands in the film instead of the glass. Then we take the damaged film off and put a fresh layer on. The film is built to resist scratches and to peel away cleanly when it's time to replace it.

  • The math is simple. A panel of film is a much smaller job to replace than a pane of storefront glass. No glass order, no plywood over the window while you wait, no glazier on a lift.
  • Paint and marker tags. The film gives paint and marker something other than your glass to land on. Many paint and marker tags can be cleaned off the film. When a tag is scratched or etched in, we replace that panel of film.
  • Why outside. Our other films go on the inside of the glass, where they last longest in the Arizona sun, and we only put film outside case by case. Anti-graffiti film is that case: it has to sit on the surface people can reach.

What Anti-Graffiti Film Protects Against

  • Scratched tags.

The most common kind of glass graffiti, cut in with a key, a rock or a cheap tool. On bare glass it's permanent. On film, it's a replacement.

  • Etching.

Etched tags frost the surface of the glass. With film on the window, the film takes it.

  • Paint, marker and stickers.

These land on the film's surface, which is far easier to deal with than tagged glass.

  • Everyday wear.

Glass doors and low windows at busy entries take scuffs from carts, bags, strollers and bike pedals. The film takes that too.

  • UV on your displays.

Our 6 mil anti-graffiti film also blocks over 99% of UV, which helps keep the merchandise in your window from fading.

Anti-graffiti film protects the surface of the glass. It isn't a heat-control film, and it isn't a security film. For glass that needs to hold together after a hit, that's security film. Security window film

Who Uses Anti-Graffiti Film in Tucson

  • Retail storefronts. The front glass is your sign, your display and your first impression. A tagged pane says the wrong thing to every customer who walks by. Film lets you fix it fast.
  • Restaurants and cafes. Big front windows, patio glass and late-night foot traffic. Protect the glass people see when they decide where to eat.
  • Glass facing a bus stop or the streetcar. Windows that face a bus stop, a Sun Link stop or a busy sidewalk see the most traffic, and they see it after hours. These are often the first panes we cover.
  • HOAs and community buildings. Clubhouses, pool buildings, fitness rooms and gatehouses sit unattended at night. Film keeps the common-area glass looking the way the board wants it to look.
  • Offices and professional buildings. Ground-floor glass and entry doors, especially in mixed-use and street-front buildings.
  • Property managers. One film and one installer across every storefront in a center, with replacements handled the same way each time.
  • Schools, churches and nonprofits. Any building that sits empty on nights and weekends.
  • Homes with street-facing glass. Less common, but a front window or gate glass right on a busy street can get the same protection.

You don't have to cover every pane. Most businesses start with the glass that has been hit before or the glass that faces the street, then add more as needed. Commercial window tinting

Choosing a Film: 4 Mil or 6 Mil

We install SunTek window film, and the Anti-Graffiti Series comes in two thicknesses. A mil is a thousandth of an inch. All numbers below come from the published specifications.

4 mil Anti-Graffiti. A clear, sacrificial film that lets 89% of visible light through and blocks over 96% of UV. A good fit for glass that gets scuffs and the occasional tag.

6 mil Anti-Graffiti. A thicker clear film that also lets 89% of visible light through and blocks over 99% of UV. This is what we'd put on most storefronts, and on any glass that's been tagged before. The extra thickness gives a scratch more film to cut through before it reaches the glass.

Both keep the glass looking like glass. We use one film across the storefront, so every pane looks the same from the street. You'll see both on your own windows before you decide.

When Your Film Gets Tagged: One Call and It Looks New Again

This is the part most owners ask about, so here it is straight.

  1. You call us. Send a photo if you can, and we'll set a visit.
  2. We take off the damaged film. Just the panels that were hit.
  3. We clean the glass and put on a fresh layer. The glass underneath stays clean.
  4. Your window looks new again. And it's protected for the next time.

Replacing tagged film is a paid service call. Taking the damage is the film's job, so a tag isn't a defect. We'll quote each replacement when you call, and the price depends on how many panels were hit and how big they are.

Your Anti-Graffiti Film Project: A Walk-Through and a Quote on the Spot

  1. Call or request a free estimate. Tell us where the glass is and what's been happening to it.
  2. We walk the property. We look at which panes face the street, which have been hit and how they're reached.
  3. We measure every pane and check the glass. Glass type and size decide how we plan the install.
  4. You see samples on your own glass. 4 mil and 6 mil side by side.
  5. You get a clear quote on the spot. No pressure. Like it? Set your install date before we leave. Ask about our 10% military and first responder discount.
  6. We install around your hours. Including after close, so your doors stay open.

Install Day: In and Out, Around Your Customers

We arrive on time and set up so customers and staff can still get in and out. Every pane is cleaned and prepped before the film goes on, since a clean surface is what lets the film look like glass. When we're done, we clean up, take everything with us and walk you through the finished work.

The film needs a little time to dry and cure. You may see a light haze at first that clears on its own. To wash the windows, use a microfiber towel and an ammonia-free cleaner.

The sooner it's on, the sooner the next tag stops being your glass's problem. Request a free estimate to get started.

Built to Be Replaced

Anti-graffiti film doesn't carry a warranty, and that's by design. It's a sacrificial layer: taking scratches, tags and etching is exactly its job, so your glass doesn't have to. When a panel gets hit, we replace just that panel, and your storefront looks new again. Replacing a tagged panel is a paid service call, and we'll quote it when you call.

Protect the glass once, and a tag becomes a quick fix. Call (520) 542-3002 and we'll come walk the building.

Anti-Graffiti Window Film Questions

How does anti-graffiti window film work?

It's a clear, sacrificial layer on the glass. Scratches, etching and tags land in the film instead of the glass. When it's damaged, we replace the film and the glass underneath stays clean.

Can you see anti-graffiti film on the window?

Hardly. Our anti-graffiti films let 89% of visible light through, so storefronts, displays and signage look the same as they do now.

How often does the film need to be replaced?

It depends on how often the glass gets hit. Some panels go a long time between tags. Glass facing a busy sidewalk or bus stop may need fresh film more often. We replace just the panels that were damaged.

Is tagged film covered by the warranty?

No. Anti-graffiti film doesn't carry a warranty, because taking tags and scratches is the film's job. Replacing a tagged panel is a paid service call, and we'll quote it when you call.

Can paint or marker be cleaned off the film?

Many paint and marker tags can be cleaned off the film. Tags that are scratched or etched in mean a new panel of film.

What's the difference between 4 mil and 6 mil anti-graffiti film?

Thickness and UV. Both let 89% of visible light through. The 4 mil film blocks over 96% of UV and the 6 mil film blocks over 99%. We usually recommend 6 mil for storefronts and glass that's been tagged before.

Is anti-graffiti film the same as security film?

No. Anti-graffiti film protects the surface of the glass from scratches and tags. Security film helps hold glass in place after it breaks.

Security window film

Can you install it without closing our business?

Yes. We plan commercial installs around your business hours, including after close, and after-hours work is built into the price we quote.

How much does anti-graffiti film cost?

Most commercial projects start around $14 a square foot installed. Your exact price depends on the film, the number and size of the panes and how easy they are to reach. We walk the property and give you a clear quote on the spot.

Does anti-graffiti film block heat?

No, it's chosen to protect the glass surface. If heat at the front of the store is a problem too, we'll talk through solar film at the same walk-through.

Do you work with HOAs and property managers?

Yes. We protect clubhouses, pool buildings and storefront centers, and we can handle replacements the same way across every property.
